Director of Service Sales and Operations

S. Reynolds & Associates, Inc. is under contract to locate a Director of Service Sales and Operations for a major leader in motorcoach and transit equipment sales and service located in Jersey City, NJ.

Scope:    Responsible for effectively managing and directing all activities of the Hudson Services/Jersey City, New Jersey location. This includes overseeing established operations policies and procedures; monitoring the efficiency of operations, promoting customer service through training and related initiatives, service sales and marketing efforts, managing an effective safety program, and assurance of regulatory compliance. 

Must have Industry knowledge of motor coach, trucking, transit, off-road equipment.  As well as, computer estimating of service and body work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for profitable operation of location in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Group actively seeks new business and service agreements for the facility in line with current capabilities and capacity.
  • Maintains weekly contact with General Manager on work in progress, and service sales in territory.
  • Review and approve all location expenditures and analyses financial statements to monitor the locations financial performance.
  • Coaches, directs and assists operations manager regarding issues related to employee performance and misconduct.
  • Oversees operations manager in development of personnel to ensure technical and customer service skills are continually upgraded and maintained as needed.
  • Support the General Manager and Northeast Team in maintaining positive relationships with customers and represents the location with current and potential customers.
  • Weekly meetings to go over service sales revenue, potential sales, expense management, and budget for the location with General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated management ability and a minimum of five years of management experience.
  •  BA or BS in Business or a related field.
  • Must posses an understanding and insight into past and current trends, issues, and economics within the motor vehicle service industry.
  • Must have strong sales, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires strong organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames.
  • Possess a working knowledge of current automated business systems preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and or similar programs and other applications as needed.

SAFETY DIRECTOR

S. Reynolds & Associates, Inc. is under contract with an industry leading provider of intermodal, OTR, and flatbed transportation services to hire an experienced and broadly versed Director of Safety and Compliance for their corporate headquarters located in Jacksonville, FL. The Safety Director will be teamed with a veteran management team striving to continuously improve an efficient and growing logistics and transportation enterprise.

The Safety Director will have responsibility for:

• Maintaining and evolving the company safety program
• Ensure overall Safety activities are in compliance with industry and governmental standards
• Manage a department of Safety Professionals
• Develop and effectively present new Safety programs and policies
• Work with all departments to ensure Safety policies and practices are integrated into the companies operating procedures in an efficient manner
• Keep the company abreast of new Safety trends and/or Safety law changes

Qualifications:

• Intermediate to expert knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and NFPA
• Extensive leadership experience in Safety
• Four year degree preferred plus 5+ years of Safety management experience
• Must possess effective communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
• Have the wherewithal, confidence, and social aptitude to carry out executive level responsibilities
• Must be detail orientated
• Must be able to think and react quickly in adverse situations
• Computer literate, with the ability to grasp new programs and suggest new applications
